ICQ Chat History Backup
 

Hi 'yall

Just worked on to put my stuff on a new HD,
and i need to backup my icq chatlogs.

I know there was a toppic about it, but can;t find it back.
Can somebody help me out please ?

What version of ICQ are you running?

If it's before 6.0, there's a "ICQ" directory somewhere in the subdirectories of your user profile's "AppData" folder (could be a direct subdirectory (XP) or in the "Roaming" folder (Vista)) that contains the HistoryDB folder. Just need to copy that over to the appropriate place in your new box after a fresh ICQ install.

If it's 6.0 or later... dunno... I haven't bothered with it for more than the 45 mins it took me to install it, play with it, uninstall it, and reinstall 5.10 yet.
