Really cool google tool for cell phones
 

dont' know if anyone knows of this...
but a friend just showed me this cool tool

if you add a contact in your cell phone

name it google, and use 46645 as the phone #

you can sms - company name, city, state and it will send you back the phone # and addy
so no 411 fees anymore!

you can sms - weather, city, state and it sends you back weather report

i'm sure u can do more, but i just started using it

anyhow - thought i would share

BTW, google is starting a 'Unique' phone number service. I forget the url (google it, lol), but basically it will be providing a single number that will forward to any of your other numbers and even move a live call between numbers. Now you can change cellphone numbers as much as you want ;)

Thats cool but 411 is free on my cell phone.

Google actually acquired a new company already doing it, but on a smaller scale. Company is called Grand Central (http://grandcentral.com/) It it's awesome. I've been using it for quite a while already.

using the internet on the phone to do a lookup is quicker... Live search is 1 app that works well that can quickly get you movie show times, local gas prices, lookup phone numbers, addresses and all that...

Yeah,

You should also try texting 466453 (google) - score "insert name of the sports team you want the score of"

and it will text you the sports score

For example I did - score jays

and the score from last nights jays game comes up. You can do this in real time to and the score is usually pretty up to the minute.

Also,

you got the number wrong

it is 466453...Just spell google on your phone

Definitely not true is come cases, ATT Edge internet is hella slow sometimes, and the google text takes no more the 3 seconds to reply for me.
