Quastion: What's is REDNECK?
 

Been hearing it for a while, not an american and too lazy to search wiki... what the hell is the meaning of REDNECK? Been seeing it on movies, TV shows (specially mad TV and Man Show) for quite sometimes and never figured out what is it.

Its what we American call those Sushi eating Latte drinking Volvo driving folks in the North East.

Technically a person that just does manual labor, hence their red neck from the sun.

However pop culture wise it is more of a very simple person, who is a hick. Err you wont know that word either. They are country folks, who drive pickups, like guns, like their dogs better than any other family member, cheese can come in a can type people, often live in mobile homes. Though do not confuse with a cowboy style country folk.
