Should the sniper stop killing people?
 

I was watching CNN today and they said "the man, or woman, who is shooting these people" and I'm thinking to myself.. shit, they really have no fucking clue who is doing this. Which raises the question, would you prefer the sniper stopped killing people, at least for now, and disappear? I'm sure he (or she!) can quietly slip away at this point and probably never be caught. Or would you prefer he keep killing people so they have a chance at bringing him to justice?

Wouldn't you just prefer it if the person got caught <i>without</i> shooting more people? I know it's unlikely, but hell, the options you listed kinda sucked ass.

Guys, be real here.. He's shot what, 11 people over a good 2 week period? Whoever it is is pretty serious with their mission. Of course I wish he never killed a single person, this is a cowardly psycho who doesn't even look his marks in the eyes or kill for a reason. I just like to argue. :)

Who ever it is.. I prefer they stop NOW. This is one real nut case, the last 1 was with a cop very close....

Could it be dome mental case who played too much Half Life, Counter Strike or Medal of Honor and wanted to start sniping for real?

Depends who he shoots next. The Innocents he is killing is unneccessary. New targets.

Anyone ever see the story on TV about a couple of guys who rigged the bed of a pickup with haybails, so from the back it looked normal, but inside there was a sniper and explosives.. They parked at a bank, waited for the brinks guy to come out with the loot bags, popped him in the head once with the silencer, then his buddy ran over screaming "CALL THE POLICE CALL THE POLICE" picked up the money and both took off. Then they set the charges in the pickup, burnt it to a crisp from a distance and made their exit. Nobody ever caught.

Yea thats pretty cool, except for the guy getting shot & killed.

And coming from someone that lives in the town that this is happening in (about 1/2 mile from the last shooting) this shit needs to stop. This town is like a ghost-town right now, people are hiding behind gas pumps, crouching down next to their car & walking in faster (and in wavey lines) to avoid being shot.

So yea, i hope he takes a break so we can find his punk coward ass.

Tons of murders go unsolved every year here in the U.S. & i can assure you the same thing happens in every country in the world. Some people just like to kill, take away guns, take away rights, people will still die.

There are many many jack the rippers out there, some people are just fucking twisted & have no respect for human life.

I hope they catch this crazy sniper.
If he continues on like this and doesn't get caught, then terrorists might adopt similar methods to attack.
This is 1 guy and he has a town scared shitless, imagine you had 100 or 200 snipers working around the country.

There are tons of "sleeper" terrorist cells, and they might think of dropping their complex plans, and just pick up a $200 rifle and start killing if it works so well without being caught.

Now the fucked up thing, I was talking to my wife about 3 days before these happened. Saying if I wanted to cause some serious havoc, a high powered rifle would be the thing and I was surprised that it hasn't been done.

Then wham, this guy hits. (I'm out here in the west, no where near DC!)

Scary thing is, if you haven't read the statistics on this, all but 2 of the shootings have been in broad daylight, 2 of them have had police officers nearby, and 4 of them have been at Gas Stations, this guy wants the public to witness his power, its the only reasoning behind the bold attacks I can see.

Reminds me of the movie "the jerk" where steve martin is working at a gas station and some crazy guy is trying to shoot him. But he keeps missing and hitting cans of oil. and maven is like "he must really hate these cans".

Fuck it...I say once we find him that we (we being the US) put him on the payrole and hand him a hitlist.

Yeah, this is pretty weird.

I wonder if the guy will end up shooting himself if the police catch him too. I figure it's only a matter of time before somebody is a witness: sees a car, or someone walking looking suspicious. Still, i'm surprised that this guy has been able to get away with shooting so many people without getting caught.

With that death card thing, it shows he's proud of himself. I mean come on, anyone could take a rifle and start shooting unarmed, and unaware civilians too, it wouldn't be exactly, "hard".

The sniper as a better chance to get caught by a bear if you ask me, he as chosen a populated area with allot of trees & wooded area. Why don't the cops put out sniffing dogs out there, let the dogs sniff the bullets that were shot & let the dogs roam the wooded area around Maryland, this person will back off for awhile but will be back shooting away & the media needs to stop televising this event & remember the police chief, I can't give away this information!!!

im sure more have died in car accidents, but I think it would be safe to say the chance of getting clipped by the sniper dramatically increases statisticly when you pump gas. The same way getting struck by lightning increases when you play golf in a lightning storm.

I would prefer that they track this psycho down before he kills anyone else
