One Last VISA Question
I swear this is the last I will bring up the VISA issue!!!
My last question... and I want a response from someone who KNOWS the answer but is NOT a US-based IPSP representative: If you're based (live and do business) in the US, can you just switch to a third party billing provider outside the US VISA region WITHOUT facing any fines/penalties or anything like that? Will it be business as usual? Everyone is concerned with foreign webmastes and what they're going to do but I haven't seen a clear answer to the Q I just posed. Thank-you :thumbsup |
No.

Thanks AaronM...but...uhhhh..."no" there's no penalties or "no" to business as usual?!? :1orglaugh

Yes.

You cannot be based in the US and send transactions to any processor outside the US. This is a basic foundational violation of the basic VISA International IPSP Op Regs regarding cross border acquiring. You cannot even have a back up processor outside of your VISA region, yours being the US if that is where you are domiciled. If any entity tells you differently they are either misinformed or misleading you, this information came straight from the horses mouth - VISA. Clay |
OK, then 1 more question...I heard some BS about having to do "x" $ in volume or "big3" accounts will be shut down anyway...was this true or a part of the rumor mill? I heard you had to process $5,000 in VISA transactions every period or you were going to get shut down and fined anyway, fuck you very much.
True or False? |
How many one last questions do you have?
|
I'll let everyone know after I have asked them all :winkwink:
