Alexa Has Changed (Improved?) Their Ranking System
http://www.alexa.com/site/company/announcement
In recent months we've heard from our Alexa users that understanding Internet usage beyond Alexa Toolbar users was increasingly of interest. Ask and you shall receive! We listened to your suggestions, and we believe that our new rankings system is much closer to what you asked for. We now aggregate data from multiple sources to give you a better indication of website popularity among the entire population of Internet users. How It's Changed More Sources: Alexa rankings are now based on more sources of data to give a better indicator of website popularity. Improved Methodology: Normalizing traffic from a global panel to provide consistently accurate rankings for all countries. Better Rankings: The rankings are now an even better indication of website popularity due to new and improved algorithms. Mike |

Long overdue but still good news.

I am seeing some changes. Still seems to be the same output displays, but the numbers seem a lot more accurate.
Not sure about it but hell who cares, we just jumped 50 places to 246
yeah it does look more accurate...
I have no idea what they actually said they did! LOL! It sounded like a bunch of cool words that didn't really say anything.
still way off but the numbers are closer.
Looks great, one of sites jumped 3500 for the 3 month average :)
still the same flaws in their method which will always shift the balance in favor of webmasters sites.
