**warning To People Using Awm Ref Script**

Quote:

This fucker is redirecting traffic to nasty dollars, ce cash, and skin video. It took me a while to figure out what it was I thought i had got hacked till i realized even my thumblogger blogs were doing it. SO ANY ONE USING THIS REF SCRIPT >> http://www.awm-help.com/tools/top-referrers/ BE CAREFULL YOUR IN DANGER OF GETTING YOUR SITES REDIRECTED TO HIS SPONSORS. I should also add, he only seem to be redirecting my sites that get the most google hits, the sites that hardly got any traffic weren't being redirected. Wouldnt dought it if he gots a admin panel and shit were he controls every thing. Well any letting the board know be carefull!

From what I have seen he isn't adding his link into the top referrers he's redirecting traffic that hits the site the script is on.

I couldn't see anywhere on his site where he says he is going to do that.

It's a free script, he's going to do whatever he wants with it. No sympathy. If you want to run a business, buy your software.

Agreed that it is best to buy your software and agreed it is his script he can do whatever he likes with it. Just as long as he knows his reputation just took a huge broadside then its all good.

Some scripts that are really cheap or free redirect a % of the traffic to their own stuff. Usually they tell you that though. You get what you pay for though. I forget what script but I remember seeing something where you could pay for it or you could get it for free. The free version redirected 2% of the traffic. It was very up front though. I don't see a problem with it as long as the author is up front about it.
