Do all mp3 players work like the ipod???
I hav e several ipods and everytime i go to add music I have load the latest software and fuck with it since it does not work the first time. ALWAYS! I think it would be cool if it would jsut load up the music and I could go about my day. This constantly upgrading itunes and the ipod is a big pain in the ass. And don't even get me started on the iphone. It will take music but can't seem to grab the playlists. Who knows why...
:disgust |
Dunno... Never owned an MP3 player... Never will...
I just get the bands to come and perform live in my house.... |
I droped my $109 ipod in the pool.
I went to Walgreens a purchased a COBY for $9.99. Aside from the space (Like I need 2 gigs of music) It sounds the same. |
...got a Zen micro for the gym and a Zen vision W to watch movies while I'm away from home.......never had a problem with them....
|
I like my Zen.

I've been wanting to pick up a Zune. I will not buy an iPod... they don't work with any of the online music services like every other MP3 player does. For $15 a month I can get pretty much any music I want on any MP3 player, except the iPod.
Yes, they are sexy... but they lack the functionality that I want. I am more of a function before form type of person. |

I have 2 iPod nanos. One is the regular skinny one and I just bought one of the wider video nanos before Christmas. Last year I ordered one of the fake Chinese nanos off of ebay because I'm really bad about not keeping up with mine at the gym. I've actually left it there 2 or 3 times. I figured if the cheap-o one was stolen, I wouldn't care. I thought I'd just load a few of the songs I would potentially listen to while working out.
It gets here and it's identical to my first iPod. I can't even tell them apart unless I pick it up and look at it. Then I turn it on and it's all in Engrish. The software is HORRIBLE. It's like some 13 year old Asian kid wrote it. It took me all night just to figure out how to get a few songs on it and get it to play. :1orglaugh I gave up and bought a Shuffle, instead. |
i hate loading music onto them too! so fucking complicated.
i have one of the wider ipod nano's that i leave in my car to play music from, but when i want to add music its always a pain. i just use winamp to load music onto it now. I dont give a shit about playlists, folders etc. I just want my music on the mp3player and i will scroll thru the list in the car, thats all i want and its so hard to get that. winamp makes it simpler though, i still have to create a playlist, put songs into it then load playlist into ipod, but its quicker and doesnt require some trash software |
motherfuckers stole my ipod about 6 months ago.... since then i got a samsung phone with the media software and shit, it looks exactly like the ipod software..... but i hadnt had time to put music on my phone, does it have a function like the ipod that randomly grabs mp3's to fill it up?? I loved that function, that way you have all the music you love with different tracks spread around... i like that. Does the samsung software got that?

Oi slapass :)
Deus é Brasileiro |
i have a zune too and it ROCKS
the software only updates when you want it to, and loading music takes all of 5 seconds the ipod software and gui is SHIT compared to the new zune |
I have a 2 gig phillips mp3 player. It's sleek, easy to load and use. It's so much cheaper. I dont like to watch videos on tiny little screens and I dont need 40gb of muisc to walk around with.

I just listen to MP3s on my Sony Ericsson cellphone. Sounds good to my ears.

Why the hell do you have an iPod that needs to be upgraded every five minutes? I had a Shuffle, had to try like hell to get it back to the pre-volume-limiter-firmware, and once I did, I told iTunes 'do not upgrade', and I wasn't bothered again.
...until the fucking Phoenix airport demanded that they X-Ray it, and it died. |

just send me total cost plus shipping and you will have it ASAP drop me an email if you really want one jace |
zune's 30 gb battery life = max 7-8 hours on average volume...&only listening music
iriver had great h series, they didn't require any f.. soft, and you were browsing your mp3s just like on your pc, by folders..... |
With iPod's you'll have the constant problem of always having to upgrade the iTunes software. Most regular mp3 players are as convenient as just dragging and dropping your tunes, Im using SanDisk's "Sansa" player, 8gb, and it does the trick.

all right cool ! sounds good . . let me see if we can make this work :thumbsup |
to answer your question more precisely.
No , most mp3 players its simply a folder you drop your mp3's onto , no software needed. I have dozens of them over the years. I have an ipod for video and the software sucks ass , is hardly worth the effort. might want to look into the sansa players , i hear they are good. |
I always used Winamp to transfer music to my ipod. it takes a few seconds. I never use itunes. Winamp works with apple ipods just fine. It has a built in transfer thing.
