Have you seen a sharp drop in PARKED REVENUE lately?
Since January of this year, I'm not getting the numbers I used to. This industry wide?
|
A lot of people have been complaining the past couple of months.

Hi Don
I think parking especially on adult names is pretty much never going to be the same. If you like you can contact my secretary with your names and we can make you an offer to help you out. thanks |
Is that really an important part of your income?
i mean, I must have 5-10 domains that I have sitting around, without parking, am I missing out here? |
any fluctuations are yahoo... not parked.com
parked has no control, direct or indirect over earnings per click |
Yes, I have.
|
Parking has gone through some big changes lately. Google and Yahoo have both implemented new rules and it's taking a little time to shake out. In the end though, we believe those who have good quality domains will win as the fraudsters drop out of the game and go searching for a quick buck elsewhere.
Hang in there -- all of the parking companies, DDC included, are working hard to find new solutions. |

Parking revenue is dropping like a stone accross the board whatever the quality of your portfolio. Typos and generics alike. I started parking in 2004, right at the start, so I've been able to collect type in domains generating hundreds of thousands of views per month. No arbitrage whatsoever. Revenue on Sedo is dropping, DS is dropping, Parked is dropping, Namedrive is dropping, Streamic is dropping, Bigjumbo is dropping, Parkingpanel.....you name it. It has NOTHING to do with quality, every high traffic generic went from making $1/$2 per click to $0.15. But some crappy domains still make good rates. Google and Yahoo are scared of lawsuits and don't want to encourage parking period. |
Yes, most certainly. My parked domains are down with at least 50% since last year, all over the board. Too bad Skenzo lost it's ask.com feed... things are changing!
|
Add this to the credit crunch and you know why this market has peaked last year.
|
Google now lets advertisers exclude parked domains and error pages from their search partner network. You used to have to buy the lot as a package.
Guess lots of advertisers instantly clicked the "exclude parked domains" button. |

Parking revenue has been dropping for months, way before this feature. |
I'd say things will improve once the economy improves.
|
It has nothing to do with the parking part, if it's adult related.
|
ISPs have jumped in the game as well... normally 404 pages are now getting Roadrunner pages over here.
|
Not good on adult names for sure. Google and Yahoo policy changes have dealt a serious blow.

so, in a nutshell, the reason that revenues have gone down is because yahoo and google and providing the option for advertisers to opt out of appearing on parked sites???
|
My parking revenue is down at least 75% for a couple of months now.
