Do Real Men Change Poopy Diapers?

Mike South tells me no way.

I have a ten-month-old, and I've probably changed more dirty diapers in my life than nearly every stripper I know who has kids (which is most of them).

What do you think?

mozadek 04-07-2008 07:07 PM

Real men tend to their kid's needs.

Spunky 04-07-2008 07:08 PM

I would say they do,might hate it but they do it out of love

If its his kid then yes

Gerco 04-07-2008 07:29 PM

I changed one today that was beyond words... It's amazing something so cute could cause such horror....

GetSCORECash 04-07-2008 07:32 PM

yes! and the poop doesn't smell as bad, when it belongs to your kid.

i look at it, and if it's a big turd, I'm like WOW! I take pride in my kids poop.

TimCase 04-07-2008 07:43 PM

Real men, all. I salute you (but I washed my hands first)

Darkland 04-07-2008 07:53 PM

Real men? Yes, everyday...
It's the assholes and lowlifes who don't :2 cents:

MikeSmoke 04-07-2008 07:53 PM

I do it every night, and I can't imagine for the life of me where a seven-week old stores all of that up :1orglaugh

(I also don't think I've ever used the word poop in my life until seven weeks ago :1orglaugh

Madame0120 04-07-2008 07:55 PM

Good Fathers wipe up the puke too.

aico 04-07-2008 07:56 PM

Sure, as long as it's your kid. Not if it's your girlfriends kid.

J$tyle$ 04-07-2008 07:57 PM

Hell fuckin' yeah!

When my son was still in diapers my wife changed him 95%+ of the time - but I never had any issues doing so.

Crazy as it sounds, I miss those days. He's 3 1/2 now. Poops, pees and climbs a little step stool to wash his hands all by him self now.

The only time he needs any help is in public restrooms. He hates using the toilets so he'll stand on my feet and and I'll give him a boost at one of the urinals when he has to pee. That or I have to lay out a stack of the toilet liners ... or use half a roll of toilet paper to coat the seat!

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

It sounds like the worlds biggest cliché, but they grow up so fast, man - enjoy this time while you can ... it'll pass before you know it!

:2 cents:

CDSmith 04-07-2008 07:57 PM

Real men absolutely change poopy diapers.
They wash their hands after too.
Real men even help with the vacuuming, and swish out a dirty toilet once in a while.

Fuck yeah.

tony286 04-07-2008 07:59 PM

im going to throw up lol

I have 2 kids my son I changed his diapers all the time... well seemed like all the time but was only like 2% of his diaper time but I changed it... now my daughter was a different story.. I never changed one of her diapers until recently when my wife went out of town for an emergency and I was at home a week with both kids alone...

Calico Jack 04-07-2008 10:58 PM

Without a doubt. Raised two children on my own.

fluffygrrl 04-08-2008 01:48 AM

So if real men change diapers all the time, do real women beat the shit out of mean nasty looking dudes bothering her man in a shady looking bar ?

Provided they're there together that is.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 04-08-2008 02:07 AM

Real men disappear to the oilpatch until the kid turns 4...

Oh wait, that's only here in Alberta, hah...

Sarah_Jayne 04-08-2008 03:13 AM

Real fathers do.

v4 media 04-08-2008 03:15 AM

If it's gotta be done it's gotta be done, better than letting it ferment in there and start leaking out the sides, 'get in quick get our quick' my motto for alot of things in life.. hehe

Loki 04-08-2008 03:33 AM

I always changed my kids diapers, and prayed for the day she was potty trained, now she's eight and I wish she was a lil tike again

I think the real question is:

Do real men call a soiled diaper "poopy"?

rowan 04-08-2008 08:02 AM

I've had runny shit squirted at me in the middle of changing one. I let out a guttural shrieking sound that I've never heard myself do before. She missed me, but the carpet still copped it!

Of course my wife thought it was hilarious........

No wonder your Wife had a good laugh. With apoligies to Gillbert & Sullivan for mangling a classic .. a short ode to your Fatherhood!

I am the very model of a modern Doting- Dad
I've information poopy, pukey, and indescribable,
I know the clerks of grocery stores, and I quote the prices, discountable.
From Botany Bay to Holroyd, in order alphabetical;
I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters decisional,
I understand roughage, both ingestion and exponential.

Because I am the very model of the modern Doting-Dad.

just wait until you start getting peed on :)

pornguy 04-08-2008 08:54 AM

Yes they do.

My son has pissed on me on more than one occasion, and at first you get mad, but then realize that its no big deal. He actually laughed the first time he did it. Had to be careful not to allow it to become a game.

AssPirate 04-08-2008 08:58 AM

a lot of men don't like doing those kind of stuff but then they still do due to the reason that it is their responsibility and they love their children...

HeadPimp 04-08-2008 09:01 AM

As long as it is your kid, sure...

TheLegacy 04-08-2008 09:05 AM

I've changed my daughters diapers since a newborn for 16 months now - with a new one on the way as well due June - so even more. Do I like it? No - but love and commitment tells me that its the best way to show both my wife and little one that I would prefer this sacrific over being single - alone with no legacy left.

I constantly have women say to my wife - can I rent him?

Whatever your definition of a 'real' man - the only one that matters is your own. No one elses. I'm happier now than I ever have been.

WebairGerard 04-08-2008 09:14 AM

sure they do. when my daughter was younger I always changed them. would never have crossed my mind not to do it. when it's your kid you do anything.

LAJ 04-08-2008 09:27 AM

Real men step up and take responsibility and aren't afraid to get dirty doing so.

End of story.

MattO 04-08-2008 09:31 AM

I stay home with my daughter every day, so yeah, I change a lot of shitty diapers.

But none of it was as bad as yesterday, she projectile vomited a big bottle of milk onto our microfiber couch, I cleaned it quick, but the smell... THE SMELL!! I have been hitting that fucker with every cleaning product known to man it it just smells like spoiled death.

I think I will put the couch outside and let the sun work on it.

If it's milk the sun will probably make it worse.

Do you have a steam cleaning spray thingy? I found that worked well when our little darling spewed on the carpet... sprayed car shampoo, let it sit for a bit, then used the steam sprayer to make sure it was getting in properly (and dilute/dislodge the muck). Took a few tries but it was eventually clean.

rowan 04-08-2008 09:52 AM

BTW the car shampoo works well because when you spray it you can clearly see "patches" that are otherwise invisible, you know to keep going in that area. :)
