Why I am more convinced that Obama is gonna win
 

So I'm with my poker group this weekend out in the middle of nowhere Central Texas where no one can hear you scream. Very eclectic mix of about 25 guys and a few gals ranging in age from 20 to 70 with the bulk in the 30-50 range. Good 'ol boys, regular joes, military dudes, city slickers, liberals... lot of bases covered (and no fights!! :))

So anyway... i'm outspoken and known there as the liberal guy who works in adult and we got on the topic of politics. Surprisingly enough a few guys spoke up who usually remain quiet and told of their support of Obama. Not that I could ever imagine Obama taking TX in November, but also, the general consensus was that the hard core right wingers there were NOT voting for Mccain citing he is too liberal. They then also added that Obama would be much easier to go after once in office. I asked, how patriotic is that?

Either way though... after a spirited conversation it seemed that the right wing way of thinking is that Hillary would be a much better president than Obama but that only Obama can beat Mccain and Obama will get the Dem nom.

Oh... and I ended up not finishing in the money this week. Short stacked at the final table I went all in with A-10 suited and was called with an A-Q offsuit and subsequently out kicked when the result was 2-paired aces and kings. Fuck.

I'd say it's because the media decided that during the second half of the month of March, they'd run banners and have pundits debating "Should Hillary Quit" even though they knew she wasn't.

That'll change a few minds by sheer volume. You drop enough tons of ping pong balls on a nail, it'll drive into the wood.

I'd like to think Obama was going to win, but I see no reason to think the country has learned anything from 2000 or 2004.

Even though you lost, that was a pretty good hand to go all in..

Just bad luck, shit happens.
