Thats a good question. because the price is lower, you will get alot more initials during that week offsetting your concern. During our beta testing of this price, we saw a big change in terms of ratios, so you will make more initial sales with the same traffic.
Further more, we have done phenomenal improvements to our members area the past 6 months, and this will result in a much much longer period of rebilling for the members you send during this week.

Let's do some math! hurrah!

Assume: 3 month average retention (after trial) fixed for all price points. Assume a 60% T-F and 20% initial monthly. 2.95 trial / 29.95rcur, 24.95 init. month recurring and $10 init recurring, 60% revshare (ignore processing, credits, CBs for now).

Let's use 100 joins (it makes the math easier)

100 joins = 80 $2.95 trials, 20 $24.95 initial monthlies
FDTR (front door total revenue) = (80*2.95) + (20*24.95) = $735

Using 60% t-f 80 trials = 48 $29.95 monthly members (month 1)
Revenue from trial conversions = 48 * 29.95 = $1437.60

Recurring revenue from 24.95 members = 2 * 20 * 24.95 = 998.00
Recurring revenue from 29.95 members = 2 * 48 * 29.95 = 2875.00

total gross revenue from 100 joins = $735 + 1437.60 + 998.00 + 2875.00 = $6045.60

Webmaster share (60%) = 3627.36 (nice measurements! lol)

Value per front door join =~ $36.27

Ok - so lets keep everything fixed (retention, etc). The only variable is conversion ratio. How many $10 initial signups do we need to do to beat $36.27 per signup?

Well, each signup is worth $30 (on average using our 3 month retention), the total revenue goal is $6045.60, so that means you would have to do 202 $10 signups to generate the revenue.

So, as long as the conversion ratio is at least twice as good, you are in break even territory. Any increase in retention would be bonus.

PS - Brazzer and the guys over there know their shit and I guarantee they've done the homework for you.

That's only assuming the retention rate will be 3 months, at such a low price the retention will easily be higher than that!
