Fact: You don't know the difference between a fact and an opinion.

and this makes this song that much more intense

his own fight with bi-polar disorder and LTHIUM itself... this song was so revealing that nobody really paid it any attention the man was a disturbed master alent lost in his own mind.... but damn he was a hella song writer

Question: Do you think if Kurt Cobain had never commited suicide that the band would have continued to put out good music and had the legacy it does now? I don't. I love Nirvana, great fucking band, but I think part of the legacy of it's greatness is that it came to an end before it had a chance to burn itself out and become complete shit...

FACT - Dying is the best career move a rock musician can make.

No, you really do not. You can try to read that in a way that makes you right in your own delusional mind, but that in no way makes it a fact.

^Fact^

I kinda agree with that as far as how the music has transcended to today?s generation?. But if you are of the nirvana, pearl jam dominance day or really into music I think you would appreciate their music regardless. Seriously? good music is the only thing that is truly timeless. I do believe had he not killed himself he would have overdosed? it?s a really lonely world for someone so talented?especially when you have mental disorders and a crazy bitch by your side?.I can only imagine

Great band, great song.

farkedup 04-06-2008 06:39 PM

for anybody who thinks Nirvana never would have lasted just look at the drummer from Nirvana, Dave has had an insanely good career with the foo... the next studio Nirvana album would have had Kurt doing everlong, Dave was stepping up big time as a band leader and song writer.

Being 25 the Seattle sound was slightly before my main rock years but certainly listened to plenty of Nirvana in Junior High LOL but I do remember 8th grade loving the foo fighters so I'm not sure if the suicide had any influence on me getting into that type of music.

Dave went on to do something completely different than what Nirvana was doing. If Nirvana had taken that route people would have shit on them for it, they would have lost fans, so on so on. Regardless of whether or not the music was good, there would have been uproar. Music fans tend to hate change. This is why Nirvana has lived on as being so popular. They did what they did, it was well received, and it was never given a chance to be overdone and played out. Had Kurt not died, he likely would have overdosed, or the band would have hit turbulent times, Courtney would have gone Yoko on shit, who knows. But I am fairly positive that had things not played out the way they did, that the legacy Nirvana has would not be the same it has today. This is of course just my opinion, but I stand behind it.
