What generation are you?

Okay so I'm up late still working on homework. Baddog is currently N/A...and I need a break...It has been almost a year since I started a thread, so I thought this would be a nice time to start one.

http://www.jonathanpontell.com/aboutgenjones.htm

The above link has a chart on generations. The site is mostly about Generation Jones, since it is newer and has been called the "lost generation" that has been found. From the site: George W. Bush "Generation Jones is undeniably an important group. If we Baby Boomers don't lead, they're right behind us ready to." All interesting right? :winkwink:

I'm Generation X...although I feel jones....Generation Jones is 27% of the U.S. population. What is the largest generation at GFY?

1 for Generation X so far.

gen y here

goodgirl 04-05-2008 11:46 PM

Two more questions come to mind. If the age groups were broke down more, how do you think they should be broke down? And what should the names be?

I think 9-11 years in each group is a pretty wide range. An 18 year old doesn't do the same things a 27 year old does. Although some may want to stay 18 forever. :)

goodgirl 04-05-2008 11:47 PM

So we have XXX ;) 2 Y's and 2 Baby Boomers so far.

the Shemp 04-05-2008 11:57 PM

Can't believe I never heard of that. I'm right on the borderline according to the chart, but I always felt I was a boomer, I never felt like I needed a different group :1orglaugh

4 X's, 2 Y's, and 4 Baby Boomers so far and 1 borderline and 1 old guys rule.

So MikeSmoke are you just feeling like a Baby Boomer or are you the first one in the new Jones group?

Well, according to his chart, I'm a boomer by age, but a Jones by birth year. Guess that makes me a boomer...but just barely :1orglaugh

MRock 04-06-2008 02:50 AM

I'm a Jones and have always felt in between the other two groups. What do I win? ha
