Visa Regs... The attorneys speak
Check out this url
http://www.avnonline.com/issues/2002...002_lead.shtml Alot of industry attorney's give there view. doesn't look too good. |
Wow interesting stuff.
|
Fancy that. I think I hinted at bankruptcy reform a few days ago. I would say all US webmasters need to vote in the November election and be sure to pull that lever for a democrat because if you get repugs in control of the Senate, House and White House you can kiss the adult industry goodbye.

I hate every one of those lawyers.
If you really want an intelligent legal opinion, dont listen to those ambulance chasers. Find somebody, put them on retainer and pay for a real opinion that doesnt include "the end is near", "the sky is falling", or "i told you so". Those are the same fuckers who wanted to be hall monitors. |
So you don?t think bankruptcy reform has anything to do with it?
|
If you care about America, vote Democrat in November. Even if it's just to keep the right wing fanatics from having too much power. You do not want Ashcr0ft/Bush to own the House, Senate, and White House. Imagine how the right wing religious power hungry anti constitution nuts could fuck this country if they had all the power.
It's a frightening thought. |

The problem is that most people who claim Libertarian actually vote Republican. :) |

Another option I agree but if people go that route they are insuring a Republican victory because it is more likely that the libertarian voter is would have voted Democratic if a libertarian candidate wasn?t available. The barbarians are at the gates, and it isn?t going to be pretty if they get control of the government for two years. Sad thing is if they put all of the pornographers out of business, the pornographers won?t even be able to file bankruptcy. They will be indentured servants of the big banks. |

The IPSPs We asked the three companies that issued the announcement for some clarifying comments. All responded except iBill. [QUOTE] HAHA avn doesnt even get a response from those trogladites |
I think bankruptcy reform has very little to do with it frankly. I'd chalk it up more to Visa member banks being tired of getting burned by a bunch of porn scammers.

I disagree! I read about this two years ago in an attorney trade rag that the carrot the banks were dangling in front of congress was that if they got bankruptcy reform they wouldn?t process adult transactions anymore. That was two years ago. All you have to do is look at the bankruptcy reform as passed, and you know something went on. Under the new bankruptcy system Credit Card Debt is a priority debt. That is it is on the same level as child support payments and back taxes. Say a local hardware store extends credit to an individual for a new water heater in the amount of $150. Say about the same time the person goes on an extravagant vacation and charges all $6,000 of it on Visa. Once the guy gets back from vacation he files bankruptcy Visa gets every penny for the vacation before the local hardware store gets anything. So if the guy has a total of $5,000 worth of assets Visa gets all of it, and the Hardware store gets zip. Bankruptcy reform will fundamentally change the dynamics of credit in America. Nobody will lend you unsecured money unless it is on Visa or MasterCard, which of course means you, will pay more. In anticipation of the reform 4 or 5 years ago, a lot of the personal finance companies started requiring all people getting a personal loan from them to sign a card member agreement, and in turn they received a credit card even if it had a 0 available balance. |
