My girlfriend recently got link-spammed on her blog by a guy who has a great new paysite concept: sell all the stuff he's downloaded from spanking porn member areas! Here's a quote from his tour (there's a lot more like this, and even funnier):

Because his template is so badly ripped off from an existing spanking sponsor (Spankbuxx), we almost wondered if it wasn't a joke site they put together (he even left their contact info on his page and ripped their 2257 compliance notice word-for-word including their support email) but his billing is different (EUbill) from the internal cascading with NATS that they use. If it's a prank, it's a good one!

Spankbuxx has been notified, I'll update here if we get an interesting answer. But meanwhile, we are rolling on the floor laughing!

Not long after I started in this biz I had an acquaintance of mine ask me how one would go about getting billing /processing for a pay site because one of his friends was thinking of creating one but had no idea on how to get processing. I know how it sounds when someone starts off by saying "I HAVE A FRIEND...." the "friend" is usually a discrete way of referring to themselves. Although I know that in this case he actually was inquiring for a friend.

So the first thing I ask him was if his friend produced the content himself, and if not where did he get it from? His reply was that his friend had acquired the content from newsgroups, tgp's etc. that he had downloaded for himself over time. He figured that he had amassed so much content that it would be a good idea to make some money with it and start his own pay site. To which I said that seeing as he does not have a license to use any of the content that he plans to use that he would almost certainly be served a C&D and would be sued for copyright infringement if he did not comply.

He then tells me that his friend has connections of some sort. I didn't ask nor did I have any idea as to who these connections may be which was all fine by me. Apparently though these connections rendered him immune to law suites. So at that point I told him that I am just an affiliate and don't really know how to go about getting processing for pay sites.

This was quite a few years ago now and I often wonder if buddy ever ended up finding processing or if he even built the site at all. I think it would be interesting to know the outcome if he eventually did find processing and managed to get the site up and running. I will have to try and remember to ask my acquaintance what happened if I ever run into him again. It would be kind of funny if it was the same guy that this thread was started about :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:Oh crap

Peoples ignorance really amazes me at times. This would be like going to a art gallery and taking several paintings off the wall, some you hang on your own walls and others you sell. With the logic that you had been to the art gallery and paid admission many times before so that somehow entitles you to take any artwork that you may fancy for whatever use you see fit
