David Beckham
Last night I went to the Home Depot Center to watch David Beckham and LA Galaxy take on the San Jose Earthquakes. I had the pleasure of watching the seats from row WC. I thought that WC might stand for worst case, but it stood for wheel chair access. Our seats were elevated in the very front behind the goal!
I was amazed out how vocal the Galaxy fans standing near us where. They stood, sang and chanted through out the entire game, Every time Beckham touched the ball the crowd went wild, and he more than delivered by scoring the game's first goal. Beckham's foot work was amazing and he often made the San Jose defenders look foolish. He assisted on the second goal, and LA won two to nothing. In the second half Beckham marked his man and was not involved in the action nearly as much as the first half. All in all I thought he played very well, and would definitely go back to watch him and the Galaxy play again. |
Fun if the US caught on the football mania of the rest of the world.

at least you guys know who he is now

I am a huge Man City supporter and watch a lot of European Soccer.
I was pleasantly surprised at level of play. It is no where near the quality of play of the EPL, or La Liga, but it is entertaining. |
Yeah the sooner the U.S. gets more excited with football the better
|
I wish he stayed in Europe. He's ruined out there, he should have went there when he was 35. He still has 2-3 good years at a higher level left in him.
Cool that you got to see him play tho, I'd like to go a game out there see how it compares to over here. |
