when will alternative transaction processing replaces visa for adult internet sites?

I have read the various articles, the postings on this board and others, and it seems to me that the bottom line is that VISA will have to be replaced for adult sites by an bank, credit card company, or other financial institution providing essentially the same processing features.

So, the next question becomes will it be industry driven, and built from scratch with porn cash? or will it be an independent financial institution that sees the market potential and taps in to undercut VISA?

Any thoughts?

I think pretty soon, within 6 months, we will first start with the crappy online checks, then someone will popup with something.

That work has already begun, read this:

independent financial institution.... I think Visa may be opening a Pandora's Box... After all the Adult Ind. has been the biggest innovator's of the Internet.... And I think it will not be a USA based company...:2 cents:

In order for anyone to really bypass Visa (and MC)... we'll need to get a credit card in every one's wallet..... I just don't see Visa and MC getting replaced anytime in the near future.

But we will, we made internet what it now is.

We did it before, we'll do it again, don't know how yet, but i'm sure of it
