Fucking Cable Guy
 

So while I was away in Phoenix I switched cable providers my friend was staying at my house let the cable guy in and they hooked up my service I get back and the main box in the living room does not work. So I call and they give me the run around and tell me that I have to wait three days for someone to come out.

So guy comes today and replaces my box fixes my shit and sits down and starts hanging out like he is wait for a tip. I mean really like I was going to tip him for fucking up the first time and making me wait for three days. Fucking asshole

First off the box could have went bad after it was installed, happens all the time. Second it likely wasn't the guys fault and most likely not the same guy.

Third I dunno why you are complaining about a cable guy on a webmaster board. :helpme

Is this like a US thing where you tip tradesmen? I offer them a drink but that's about it, they're already getting paid by the hour like just about everyone else...

the only reason to tip them is for hooking up "extra" services which these days pretty much never happens. there's too much tracking in place to simply have a guy "forget" to put in the right filter.

No point tipping somebody for hooking up a service like that... I offer a can of pop only.
