What is meant by residents?
 

I want to study a semester abroad, preferably at Berkeley. Now I am wondering what they mean by residents vs nonresidents here?

If I study one semester in the states and maybe do another six months an internship I will be a resident, right?

native vs foreigner . . . you = non

I'm gonna have to guess that Residents are ones that live on campus.

For example residents would be Californians and you coming from a different country would be a non resident,

I see, thank you. Would I be considered a resident with a green card and working in the USA besides my studies?
