Clarification from Dean Capture re: his GFY status
 

Dean sent me this regarding the thread somebody else started about him and his banned status here:

The only thing that I've ever said publicly about my issue with Lensman and Eric was that I would never kiss their ass in order to return to GFY. And I also said that I'd be happy to apologize to Lensman, Eric and Playboy for my words as soon as they apologize to the GFY community for not doing a better job of keeping the board maintained and for allowing it to run like crap. Even after all these years of people complaining and after all those hundreds of thousands of dollars spent each and every month on advertising, they have yet to address the problems. The truth is that Playboy does not give a damn about anyone's experience surfing GFY. They only care about one thing - advertising dollars. I was very vocal about my thoughts on this matter and that's what got me banned. Instead of Lensman addressing the problem and getting it fixed, he would rather ban the only person who had the balls to stand up to him and put him in his place. He's not used to that?...

I am not going to kiss Lensman's or Eric's ass in order to be a part of the GFY community. Every time someone gets banned they run back to Eric and beg to be unbanned. Why? Because people are addicted to GFY and they need their daily GFY fix in order to keep sane. Eric knows this and he uses that to his advantage. Getting his ass kissed on a daily basis makes him feel powerful and important. So everytime someone comes back from a banning, just know that Eric felt really powerful and important there for a moment as he held the key to someone's sanity in his hand.

I never thought that Dean would be interested in coming back. I also have the opinion that he's quite capable of holding a grudge against someone without being pissed off about it (I think the word would be indifferent).

Dean's a great guy... shame that his opinion rubbed the wrong people the wrong way. I have read worse on here that was never addressed.

I think he's lost the plot entirely.

I thought the word was Will's banning was a temporary thing...

but, hell.. It's likely I read something or other wrong... I tend to pay little attention to such details.

Still, I do think not having Dean around is a shame... he was a solid contributer.
