Amnova flourescent lighting anyone used them?
I remember a thread here a while back debating if they were really kinos has anyone actually used these, Im considering buying some.
Id like to know what users think of them I dont really care if the tubes are kinos or not as I presume I can always put kinos in them if I want. are they reliable? heavy, whats the light out put? yada yada they will be used primarily for HD video |
I bought some lights and stands from them once. Shit started falling apart immediately. their shit has like a 60 day warrantee or somthing. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend anything from them.

There is more than one way to build or purchase your own fluorescent lights using high CRI bulbs that don't flicker and ballasts that are reliable, but for my money the sturdiness and quality of real Kino-Flos can't be beat, especially if you do a lot of location filming. I have the same bulbs in my four-foot four bank Kinos that I have owned for three years.
If you are setting up a studio or permanent space and you need lots of lights in separate rooms it may pay off to look into other lower cost solutions like Cool Lights http://www.coolvideolights.com/ |
thanks guys....thats what I wanted to know
