BangBrosOnline rss feeds....images?

Anyone else having an issue with bangbrosonline.com rss feeds not having images viewable?

I have clients that are wanting to use them, but can't because of no images

I did a view source and see this

<model_image>http://images2.bangbros.com/modelprofiles/6199_big.jpg</model_image>
<model_thumb>http://images2.bangbros.com/modelprofiles/130x152/6199.jpg</model_thumb>

not really sure if model_image and model_thumb are legitimate rss codes

I tried but the feed was not setup correctly(rss/atom). ... anyway it wouldn't work. I was going to email support but never got around to it ... I think they are new also

right now I am so swamped with work I can't even begin to finish it

if you need details about everything I do, hit me up, I have it all written out to put on the site, just haven't had time to get it in the site properly

Ive wondered the same thing, Jace. I got the same issue with their feeds from day 1. So, I stopped using them.

I just told my clients not to use them, sucks too because from what I can tell they would be pretty awesome feeds

Technically, it is XML. Just, not valid RSS.

I find that to be much more useful than a standard RSS feed, because it's a lot easier to deal with the tags as I want, rather than deal with any bizarre text, broken highbit MSWord cuttenpaste, and the like. preg_match(), or ereg() is your buddy.

Well, I can't confirm 100%, but just from /looking/ at the feed system, it gives you the option for an RSS or XML feed.

By selecting XML, you will need to build your own XML parser to do what you want with the data. This is how it SHOULD be, as people are cramming way to much shit into RSS feeds when it is better left as straight XML.

:2 cents:

Hah, beat me to it. I agree, people try cramming to much shit into the content field, such as preset position for images, etc. If I had a straight XML feed I could position content wherever I wanted.

well, the issue here isn't xml or rss, but rather that most of my bloggers are trying to use the feed in feedwordpress and autobloggerpro, and not having any luck

I am glad you all like xml over rss, but the fact remains that their feeds are fucked up and people are trying to use them

Boobs 04-01-2008 09:52 PM

the feeds dont work too good for me

Then perhaps you weren't paying attention. Their feeds looked just fine to me. Perhaps your "clients" were trying to import the XML feed, not the RSS feed.
