We should have a wake for TD
I mentioned this briefly to A1K3K in Phoenix. He thought it was a good idea, but knew little about them. Being Irish, wakes are like a national pastime for us.
I thought I read something from Jact or Lady M suggesting that Homegrown had contacted him mother and that there would be some kind of memorial in SoCal. As I told A1K3K, when I go, I don't want people being bummed, I want them to celebrate my graduation to the other side. I am pretty sure TD would feel the same way. What do you guys think? At the very least we could have a gathering at The Rack, but I am definitely open to other suggestions. Any ideas or input? |
I just hit Spannow up last night to see about doing something up north here for those of who worked with him.
A memorial/send off is a great idea, not sure I would be able to make it down south for it tho. |
I'll be there in spirit.I think that would be a great idea though

Great idea. I wish I could make it. Being Irish myself, this is how myself and those around me have memorialized the departed.

I was pretty bummed in Phoenix when I heard. Bunch of people know me and TD were pretty tight, as I am sure many here were. Eric, Loryn, Juicy, KB, BD, and all of you that talked to me about it, thanks. I don't take death well, and this month there has been a lot of death in my family and friends circle. TD wasn't the healthiest guy and lived his life the way he wanted too, even after massive heart surgery. I'm not sure that is the smartest thing, but it made him happy while he was here. There's nothing really profound for me left to say, just that he was a really nice guy and truly a friend.
As much as I am not into drinking when I'm not at a show now, I'd do a shot of JD for him in his memory. RIP Texas Dreams |
