ICDSoft. They're not cheap for a virtualhost, but I've never had any downtime - not a minute in six years. Their custom control panel is awesome, too. But don't even think of having anything related to adult there. :thumbsup

Pretty much every host that does adult does "mainstream" as well. You may want to stay away from places named fuck-me-up-the-butt-with-a-baseball-bat-hosting.com but most hosts keep things fairly generic.

With any shared account you run the risk of being on a server that may host something that you may not like. If you are worried about the possibility of sharing an IP address with an adult site, spring for a dedicated IP address. Better still - a VPS or dedicated solution.

if you expect the same storage/bandwith combination, the short answer would be ...... NO !

Also, chances are your webdev fucked everything up too. He is 100% totally fucking clueless, thats evident by him telling you to use dreamhost.

going with ipowerweb I completely forgot about them. I have had one of my domains with them for years, no downtime, and they don't allow adult at all.

they have had more downtime and issues lately than I care to deal with

I wanna get them on a better box, but they have already paid for a year of service with dreamhost
