Need financial assistance to launch video sites
 

My company has exclusive web-rights to over 30-years of video content produced by a San Fernando Valley studio who shall remain nameless for now. The content is mostly fetish, and covers all genres. The company is still releasing new DVD titles every month, and has offered to shoot new content in any genre we want.

My company is website & software development. We have developed desktop software that will rip a DVD into scenes, trailers, and image galleries; and load them into a server-side Content Management System, all in about 5-10 minutes per DVD. We are in the Beta stage of the software, and could be ready to roll with version 1.0 in about a week or two.

We are in need of financial assistance to complete the software, purchase workstations, and hire people to start encoding this massive library we have rights to use.

With this much content, there is money to be made. How can we work together?

hire people, workstations, all that crap AFTER you start making money. 5 to 10 minutes a dvd means you and the adult webmaster can do that on the side, all day.

No need to hire a bunch of people to sit around. Stop slacking and get to work, you could have had something done by now :)

My company just developed the software solution, we're not a porn company (anymore). That said, this investment is for the unnamed porn company (our software client) so they can start utilizing our software themselves. We do not want anything to do with porn production, but we need the cash to deploy the solution and speed the return on our investment.

So what you really want to do is sell your software to someone?

Not yet, but if successful in Beta and with this first client case study, then yes, we will start offering this solution on a commercial basis.

Then get venture capital. And really there are other software solutions out there for webmasters, perhaps you should look into building you system to work as VOD.

what are we talking and when do you want to meet up do you have anything down on paper of what you plan to do ect ect... how will I make my money back... how do you propose I will make my money back... can you show anything on what you plan on doing.....

What exactly are you offering in your deal?
1: Software that may or may not be good
2: 30 years worth of content?

What is the ballpark figures involved in this?

We have an agreement on paper with the studio to pay us royalties for using our software package and managing their IT infrastructure. Their goal is to open 20 or more Tube style membership sites within 6 months. From those membership sales, by proxy via royalties, is where we're get a return on our investment.

We're open to suggestions and ways we can work with people to get this going sooner, rather than later.
