Seobook.com

was thinking about signing up for a month on the seobook.com site and seeing what it is all about in there

i really need to start to learn about SEO, but i really dont trust people that claim to be SEO experts and selling their knowledge. i typically seem to think if someone was an SEO expert he/she wouldnt need to sell services on how to become one.

i dunno... its $100 a month

has anyone done a membership there? Was it worth it?

if you had to suggest one place to look to learn about SEO where would that be?

thanks for your time :pimp

Haven't tried, there's a plenty of seo tuts on the web, just fucking google it

LiveDose 03-27-2008 11:45 AM

Never heard of it. Bump for you.

I did read it. I mean the PDF version of seobool. Actually it was about 3 years ago and I hadn't found anything interesting there. The usual bla-bla-bla which is not a secret for everyone. However I don't know how much that seobook was improved during the passed time... Perhaps now it has some good tips, or may be it's a same trifle as it was earlier.

zeruel 03-27-2008 12:47 PM

SEO isn't about just that. You have to experience it to know how it works....

pornask 03-27-2008 12:53 PM

I'm doing very well with SEO and all I read are entireweb newsletters :thumbsup

tranza 03-27-2008 12:58 PM

Never heard about it.

You would trust a $100 book but not someone coaching you? What's the logic there??

fris 03-27-2008 01:05 PM

Too much, even seoblackhat forums is like 499$ a month

tiger 03-27-2008 02:32 PM

The free tools are enough don't see what else they could have worth the money.

Telly 03-27-2008 02:37 PM

I just picked up this book http://www.amazon.com/SEO-Search-Eng...6653725&sr=1-3 I'll let you know if anything useful comes from it.

Coaching is awesome too though and is actually what prompted me to buy a book for additional knowledge.

CunningStunt 03-27-2008 02:52 PM

Total and utter waste of money. Head to the larger free forums like webmasterworld and learn at the coal face. Most of these ebooks are just regurgitations of a theme in the main.

SEO is constantly changing as the engines do - get the basics from free sites, and learn the rest as you go. LOOK at top sites for your phrases and see what's in common etc.

Aaron Wall knows his shit. His reputation in the search community is beyond reproach.

pornask 03-28-2008 07:37 AM

Aaron Wall is only popular cause he got media attention when he was sued.
