Tried tongue today....
 

Well, I tried to eat tongue today. Unfortunately it was my own... I bit the crap out of it. Damn this hurts like crazy! Actually bit a chuck off the side and saw stars. I can't believe I did it, at 40 years old, this is the first time I have ever really bit my tongue this bad, its been bleeding for the last 3 hours. I have been putting ambisol on it.

Sorry for you man! I'm sure it will get bigger due to the inflammation, beware not to bite it again now that it's bigger. That happened to me once and it hurts more than the first time.

Eating supper tonight was an adventure in pain... Arg... hopefully it will be better by the time I wake up

I have a habit of whacking my teeth together in my sleep, or perhaps as I'm just coming out of it. It's not a natural open/close motion either, it's like the top part of my jaw is offset sideways so the front of my teeth on one row hit the back of another. One of these days I'm going to end up doing some real damage.

If it's still bleeding maybe there's a chance you need stitches? You could visit the doctor or get your own sewing kit from Walgreens and do it up yourself.
