UFC Montreal: Who's Going?
 

I'm still looking for tickets but I'm planning on coming to Montreal that night. Prices are coming down a bit so I'm hoping to get something decent.

So anyone going? Have seats yet?

What's the best way to find tickets this late?

Holy crap, I just checked Ebay. Doesn't look like I will be going to this one. Too expensive for my tastes.

I'm not paying $1000 plus for a ticket. I'll stay home and watch it for free on the FTA.

Unless you know someone, something like craiglist may be an option or check local papers (assuming you're somewhere remotely close to Montreal). The ticket hubs online are an option but you'll pay a premium - Cheapest seat in the house I found from any of them was $240. Premium view seats are $1500+ at this point.

But for a UFC event (or boxing, wrestling) you really need to be fairly close to make it worth the money. At least for those who don't go it's supposed to be broadcast in HD for the first time.

I have a bunch of tickets for sale, they are all lower bowl premium seats. Floor seats are garbage unless you get within the first few rows, otherwise it is hard to see over the mob. With these seats you are elevated to see over the floor.

Just got my tickets this week Reds 102, 10 or so rows up.
Anyone in town want to meet before/after the event... or tips on the best strip, err, night club these days?

Great Kevsh, Actually I was going to go... had some beers last week with the training camp of GSP(pat cote, claveau, kang, etc...) but I'm moving out west so I won't go. I suggest you hook up with Dr Dre, he knows a lot about night life.

If you need a guest list for I nightclub(nicest club in town, and where they will do the UFC after party), just LMK and I'll hook you up. The other big clubbing place is the Opera, its huge on sundays because its staff night.

For strippers : class = pare(never went there), kamasutra is downtown and very good. Some people like amazone... never been there. Supersexe is for tourists. Solid gold is apparently good but it's not in downtown. Vegas is also good but on south shore.

I'd love to catch it live but $1k for a fight just doesn't seem right. I think I'll be enjoying it from the comforts of Peel Pub or some other local watering hole. I just have to find one that's showing it and not the hockey game!

Went to the London event last September, Rampage v Henderson and should be back in June for Chuck and Evans. Montreal looks like a great lineup.

Keep an eye out for the Baba O'Reilly montage before the main events go live, still get tingles thinking about it!

Oh, for those that don't have tickets, I do have a contact with *face value* singles. I think he has a couple of floors, not sure off-hand what else. But if interested, let me know. (Caveat: I take no responsibility for the deal - I'll just get you his contact info, he's in S.Ontario but would probably ship FedEx, etc.)
