Have you ever made a copy of a check and saw "VOID" on it?

I made a copy of a check for my records before I cashed it and I looked at the copy and it has large grey letters "VOID" on it.. Is that normal? Can't see it on the original paper.

sometimes when I photocopy money it does the same thing...

Yes it very common in checks,money, important documents etc as Chio said its simply to stop counterfeiting :winkwink:
