Is the movie Syriana worth watching? - heard it had so-so reviews.

It's slow, but absolutely worth it.

It's worth it. Not exactly the best movie ever, but definately worth watching.

Last night I watched The Kingdom and I enjoyed it a lot more.

And before anyone mentions it... yes, I know they have nothing in common.

It's a really decent flick... The torture scene is a bit tough though

i've tried watching it a couple times and lost interest both times.

Yeah, if you like seeing men get their fingernails pulled out one by one and little boys being electrocuted in swimming pools.

Unpleasant movie and extremely hard to understand. You'd probably have to watch it 10 times to fully understand it.

Overall, I thought "Syriana" was a pretty good movie...it provided some interesting insights into contemporary geopolitics.

For that, I put it into the same category as "Babel", although it is linear when compared with "Babel" (which might explain the perceived slowness which some commented on).

"Babel" is more multi-layered with stories within the main story.

If you like "Syriana", then I also recommend "Blood Diamond" - I was expecting to be let down, but was totally impressed.

Blood Diamond was an excellent movie -

overall Syriana was a bit slow moving and the plot was a bit scattered but not terrible. I can't say I'd go out of my way to watch it again though.

Haven't seen them but both "Babel" and "Blood Diamond" are on my list.

I fell asleep at this movie, it's slow.

Directed by the same chap who did "Traffic".

If you can handle 5 different story lines, jumping all over the place, and coming together in the end, plus some Geo politics. It's a good movie. It may take a time or two to get all the pieces and understand. But overall, worth it.

I think it's an excellent movie. The problem is that many people have nanosecond attention spans and cannot handle certain plot intricacies.

Syriana was an excellent movie and I agree with Asiandvddudeguywebpersonsite about Blood Diamond.
