I was watching this on CNN yesterday.
Sure looks like the time to purchase some investment properties or vacation homes is right around the corner.
As they say buy when everyone is selling.

mortgage rates are not really dropping much... its the short term rates that have gone down a lot

Just because feds drop rates doesn't mean the banks will.. the rate is for overnight lending for banks.. not end people. Do you really think th goverment cares for the little guy? hA HA HA!

Maybe so but if you have a good bank manager and a clean record with them plus some equity you can do fine.
I was offered 3.25% last week on a vacation property, but may wait a little while yet.
