Who (besides me) is NOT going to the Phoenix Forum?

Sounds like a great show but Phoenix is not in the cards for me this year. I need to hold down the fort for TheContentStore while Mr. J$TYLE$ is there taking care of business.

Hopefully I'll be able to attend next year though :thumbsup

Who else isn't going to make it this year?

Jon Clark - BANNED FOR LIFE 03-23-2008 08:25 PM

I am not, but someone from my company will be there and is excited too see everyone and do some business...

Pauldarian 03-23-2008 09:12 PM

I'm not. And even if I was still working for Ounique, I still wouldn't be going.

Keep doing what you're doing and next year for sure!

Sometimes there are more important things in life than the Phoenix Forum.

Regrettably, one of those things came up for me during the Forum this year.... of all fucking weeks. :(

Next year, though... I'm looking forward to hitting it again. Certainly is _the_ show to go to.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 03-24-2008 12:03 AM

My supervisor wouldn't give me time off, he said that little Billy already booked the time off for a volleyball tournament, and there was no one else to cook the fries...

WebCashMaker 03-24-2008 05:45 AM

I won't be making it this year :(

Can you come over and plant my avacados for me then?

When I was young and dumb I used to try to make it to every damn event on the planet. I stopped going to conventions a long time ago. Now I wouldn't even attend if the event was in a 1 1/2 hr. driving distance from my house and I had free tickets.

I just don't see any sense in doing it. Within 6 years of my former convention-life I can't recall one single occasion where I actually got something out of it, but lots of blabla, a huge bill for flights, hotel rooms, dinners, cabs, TICKETS!!! etc., not to mention the time everybody pissed away, being unproductive. Nothing! Not business-wise, and not to mention sex wise.

Once I got invited by a major porn producer for a private gang bang at the Venetian. It was a fun event, no cameras. I went because Lexington Steele was supposed to be there and I love BBC. Lex didn't show, of course, and the other 10 or so guys, and a couple of chicks were so drugged out that they couldn't fuck, so I left and got myself 2 good ol' cowboys down at the hotel bar. That was the official end of Jenny's convention hopping spree.

starpimps 03-24-2008 03:29 PM

GrouchyAdmin 03-24-2008 03:29 PM

Word. Spoken well. Ditto. Haven't been in 3 years. Not going unless I have to. I shoot for 2 large programs and a handfull of other smaller ones and have 5 websites. If I need to fly in for a business dinner and fly out the next morning then I'll do that but otherwise...

Plus... I have dogs, horses, kids and 10 acres of Avacados & fruit trees. No time for that. Have fun for those who go - post pix.

nikki99 03-24-2008 03:51 PM

Anyone that walks away from 6 years of trade shows with no business or positive experiences is either a very poor business person or has nothing of value to offer.

:2 cents:

After just 2 years of nothing why would you keep going?
