Did you have a good Easter dinner?

Mine was good. Had a pot roast over at my aunt's house, followed by some chocolate cake. :thumbsup
Myself, brother, aunt, grandmother and grandfather.

raven1083 03-23-2008 07:16 PM

roast chicken and mix vegetables are a good easter dinner.

CaptainHowdy 03-23-2008 07:17 PM

I'm stuffed and ready to go inside the oven...

GrouchyAdmin 03-23-2008 07:18 PM

Honey BBQ Ribs, Sweet BBQ beans, slightly overcooked potatoes (I like the outside crunchy, go fig.), and fresh steamed veggies.

Best. Easter. Dinner. Ever.

Spunky 03-23-2008 08:01 PM

Nothing beats home cooking

Here's the winner....

Baked ham glazed with real Quebec maple syrup
Stuffed turkey breast
Cranberry sauce
Roasted-then-barbecued pork ribs
Scalloped potatoes topped with bacon strips and cheddar
Stuffing
Peas & Carrots
Pie, Ice cream & sliced strawberries

What a pigout it was. Only six of us, tons of leftovers.

After Shock Media 03-23-2008 10:31 PM

Just some baked potato, salad, blue cheese, rock lobster, and shrimp alfredo.

This is the first time I've ever had them at Easter. Damn they were good.

May have to declare it a tradition. :D

But I cannot overstate about how amazing that ham was with that maple syrup baked into it. I'm going to cook it that way every time from now on.

Fizzgig 03-23-2008 11:24 PM

We didn't have one at all. I postponed Easter on account of rain.

Sarah_Jayne 03-24-2008 05:19 AM

I had more meat than I have eaten in about a month all in one meal and I am feeling it now the next day but it tasted good at the time.

I made - Roast pork with a pork and leek gravy, mashed potatoes, steamed carrots, savoy cabbage, apple and herb stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and apple sauce.

I haven't eaten a thing today yet because I still feel full.

lhizy_05 03-24-2008 06:42 AM

i didn't ate too much!!!:(:(:(

Sosa 03-24-2008 07:47 AM

a lot of good food here. That is what happens when you have a grandma that wants to cook almost everything :)

tranza 03-24-2008 08:09 AM

I had quite an awesome late lunch, so I pretty much didn't eat at night.

:)

pornguy 03-24-2008 08:12 AM

Its amazing at how little importance a day like that is, when you are NOT in an area where is is soooo commercialized. One of my online friends told me at 3pm that it was easter Sunday. I had no idea.

I stopped paying attention to the commercialization of these types of holidays a loooong time ago. For me it's about family, getting together with everyone and sharing some good times and some great food.

That's what holidays are for.
