Whats a nice place for a permanet residence?

The netherlands are getting boring and i cant wait to get back to spain for a couple of month, but iam still looking out for something else to stay. I have the bad luck (like most of you) that i can work from everywhere in the world with internet access, so borders or different countries are no real problem. Just the US could get hard without a green card :winkwink:
What would be your favourite country/city?

If you're working with porn i dont think you can "work from everywhere in the world"..

Mallorca is pretty nice lots of good things to do there . .altough indeed many tourists ..

and you wont really have any real problems with the people even though they dont like you .. but problem is they will try to take advantage of you in every way possible and dont show you any respect in general not matter how you behave ...

oldskull 03-22-2008 10:25 AM

spunkmister 03-22-2008 10:28 AM

if you like Asia and can afford it try out Hong Kong.

pornask 03-22-2008 10:38 AM

You can't afford to live in Edmonton

Burridge 03-22-2008 10:48 AM

live in a van down by the river.

PornMogul 03-22-2008 10:53 AM

Agreed a van by the river is the best. But after that I would recommend sunny san diego, california. I don't know if it gets better than san diego (other than the van ofcourse :pimp)

fusionx 03-22-2008 11:11 AM

I'd say Panama, but Costa Rica has better weather, and better workers if you plan to hire people.. or do any building, etc..

D 03-22-2008 11:16 AM

I hear Costa Rica is the place to be.

CaptainHowdy 03-22-2008 11:19 AM

I'm dying to move to Florida. My girlfriend and I have been trying to gather as much info on getting a Visa for almost 2 years now. We've also found a pretty good Immigration Lawyer who will hopefully help us get into America. :)

You're completely wrong.

Costa Rica belongs to Costa Rica. With an EU passport you can easily buy property, and you will get a 3 month visitors visa no problem. You can leave the country every 90 days for a few days and rewnew it, or apply for some different residency options including owning a business, investing in tourism, having a stable income from bonds or pensions or the like, etc etc. While you apply for residency, you will not need to leave to renew the visa either.

Anyway, that's the short story.

Oh and Costa Rica has no income tax on money generated outside of the country, like on the Internet for instance.

BTW, Puerto Rico belongs to the US

Diligent 03-22-2008 12:37 PM

If You want to keep the whole relocation bit simple, I'd say go for Spain or one of it's islands! :thumbsup

If You're doing it primarily for business, the suggestion is Cyprus... similar climate etc. but *very* much better for incorporating - and living there at the same time keeps that part the simplest.

RadiantX 03-22-2008 03:40 PM

Im scared as fk to leave the US. Based on what I hear in the media US citizens are hated worldwide for our war loving president. True or is that just a bunch of bs? Sure would hate to move to Spain and get decapitated.
