Damn you......

payd2purv 03-21-2008 09:20 AM

I am very surprised how well my iPhone has held up to my drunkard friends dropping it.

Just a little damage on the metal bezel.

Well... You've learned that iPhones sucks, go and buy Blackberry now.

AaronM 03-21-2008 09:28 AM

I've intentionally thrown mine down stairs to show people how rugged it is. Strange that dropping it in the grass would harm it.

Xrated J 03-21-2008 09:34 AM

Jens Van Assterdam 03-21-2008 09:34 AM

Isnt that the trendy "used"-look these days?

D 03-21-2008 09:37 AM

Did it happen to be grass over a pool of a powerful acidic compound?

miss_jody 03-21-2008 09:37 AM

awwwwwww

that sucks babe

:(

Violetta 03-21-2008 09:41 AM

damn... looks nasty

hollinator 03-21-2008 09:44 AM

Wow! Shocking that a little wet grass could do that to the 'indestructible' iPhone. Thanks for the warning. I was not too fond of them, but thinking about buying one anyway. Now I REALLY don't want one.

Love you babe! See you in Phoenix!

minddust 03-21-2008 09:46 AM

Condensation :(

I had the same problem with mine, I was on a boat trip and the humidity was high (lite rain/wind) I had it in my pocket, anyway long story short, Apple won't do shit for it. It's a known problem (the case is leaky) :2 cents: I had one of their phone rep told me "we have no proof that you didn't drop it in the water" ...

DutchTeenCash 03-21-2008 09:47 AM

geez that looks like acid was sprayed over it

dannyz-zbuckz 03-21-2008 10:03 AM

That makes my heart sink. :( Poor Holly...if it's any silver lining, maybe you can upgrade to the newer Iphone model when it comes out.

Zorgman 03-21-2008 10:12 AM

Maybe it would rather DIE then be used by you.

Just a thought. :D

Vegas Ken 03-22-2008 09:41 AM

what the heck happened? Was that just water damage? Crazy stuff.

Gerco 03-22-2008 09:54 AM

Jebezus! I treat mine like crap... It's always in my pocket with my keys, I have dropped it at least 15 times, It's fallen off the table 3 times, My Baby got ahold of it and threw it against the wall... and still the only damage is a very small dent in the metal bezel, the screen still looks new even after the 8 months of key rubbing.. In my experience it's held up better than any phone I have ever owned. Hell, I was surfing the web and reading GFY on it for hours the other night while waiting at the hospital, the batter only gave up 25% of it's power... I swear by this thing... But to see that really makes me thing that I should be a little more careful.

Then again... I buy the new version when it hits the streets this summer... so...

kacy 03-22-2008 10:29 AM

I dropped mine a few times and I finally cracked the screen. It's $200 to replace the screen, however since then its been dropped serveral more times. How many times am I going to pay $200 to fix it? I haven't got it fixed yet, it still works perfectly though.

Spunky 03-22-2008 10:32 AM

Looks like it's time for a new one
