LA Parking Ticket
 

So I got a parking ticket last summer while in LA. The ticket seemed straight forward. I was under the impression that they popped me for an expired parking meter which I thought was strange considering that it was a Sunday. So, I took pics of the vehicle with the ticket on the windshield. I then took pics of the parking meter which had the hours on it and the words "Except Sundays" and I held the ticked up next to the meter to show the date and time the ticket was given at that meter.

I sent in the pics along with a request for an explanation. I have not heard any more about it.....Until yesterday.

So I call them after I got their notice in the mail. The lady tells me the ticket is not for an expired meter but for parking in a no parking zone. Then I asked her how often the city of LA installs parking meters in no parking zones.

She didn't have an answer.

I went on to explain that I have pictures of the vehicle, the meter, the ticket, and the surrounding area.

"We'll have to research this and call you back."

Say you didn't do it. Period.

I get parking tickets out here all the damn time, par for the course. Your best shot is a letter, you would be surprised man.

Just another way for them to try to get more money!!
