Pornwolf:

We use barbed wire.

There is no DSL, No Cable Modems and I'm 10 miles from the nearest Wireless tower. So we have 2 dialups.

We just deal with it. We see more stars at nite from the hot tub than most other people do.

Our server is co-located. It's just a couple hops from the backbone.

Well, stay away from Norway...everything here is so expensive you cannot afford visiting a public restroom. Sweden is sooo much better...you get tobacco, alcohol and food for 1/3 of the price.

And stay away from northern Italy, it`s filthy. Austria is a beautiful country, well worth visiting. If you want REALLY cheap booz, go to denmark, a very happy people ;)

My dad was also a contractor, Mechanical engineer. He was a project manager for Marubeni. He was over there for a couple of years, and at first, he was just coming back every other month for a few days. We went there for the last 8 months of his contract.

It's actually really nice over there. I mean, it's hot as all hell, as you'd expect, but everything in the city is green. They've got sprinklers going all day long. They filter water from the ocean. It's amazing, you're in the middle of a desert, and all you can see is palm trees and green grass.

People are generally pretty friendly. You can haggle in just aobut every shop around, which is pretty cool.

Heh, it rained once in the 8 months i was there, for about 15 seconds.

Jer 10-11-2002 07:49 AM

Fuck, you people don't live, you just travel

Jer 10-11-2002 07:50 AM

When you stay 2 months in a city is that considered "living" ? heheh
