sure... of course it does... because gold is an infinite resource and its absolutely no problem to round up trillions of dollars in gold and stuff in a hollow mountain somewhere and then keep pace with the growth of the economy by just magically making many times more gold than the world produces. of course... being that gold is flirting with 1000.00 an ounce.... i doubt it will go much over 50,000.00 an ounce once we try to back our currency with gold dollar for dollar.
