V is down almost 3$ from the open

Still think it was a good buy??

Thats the first thing people stop paying when they have no money.

thats a shame...i know quite a few people who put in $xx,xxx range in their accounts yesterday just for today

it'll rebound .....just as soon as we have another "invention of the internet" type of event happen in the economy though ;)

1) I called this.. warned about this yesterday in a post. This is not the market of the old days.. its the playground for hedge funds... They'll whip you, screw you and spit on you! Markets are manipulated 100% these days so you have to go with the trend! I would wait 3 months before jumping into visa!

2) Visa does not accumulate the debt unlike discover or american express. The banks visa does business with do. Visa only provides the transaction service , so in a sence during these credit crunch era .. its a safer play than amex or discover!

Totally agree. Or it will gain slowly. But lots of money fears right now, and the IPO should have been put off.

Quite right. However, the common man does not know that he is actually hurting his own bank when he fails to pay his CC. So... He is less likely to buy into visa.

The stock may even tumble to $45 but eventually it will go up up and up.

Economy is not that great but it should improve time to time.

advokat 03-19-2008 04:11 PM

PREDICTIONS:

close by end of 1st or 2nd week: under 45

by 1 month: around 50

by 3 months: 65-70

by 1 year: 80-90

cybermike 03-19-2008 04:46 PM

huh.. the ipo was priced at 44 and it opened up at 60 dollars

TheAgent 03-19-2008 05:21 PM

This is normal especially with the current market situation. Do not expect this stock to shoot to 200 in 18 months, thats wishful thinking. When Mastercard came out the markets were much strong then they are currently are. I predict that Visa will go down to high 40s then in the next 18 months will be sitting in the 80-95$ dollar range

What happens is traders who get in on the IPO sell once it comes out then they take the short positions and make money by doing the reverse once the public is allowed to buy

Traders go in at 44 sold at 67 or something...turn around and short at 67 and made money since its sitting at 56 and change.

Am surprised Wall Street is not breaking down your door to get the inside tip.
