red eye effect - whats wrong with my eyes?
 

This is starting to piss me off. Every damn picture of me has the red eye effect. I could be in a group picture with 100 other people and i would still be the only individual with red eyes. 99% of my pictures have red eyes, while everybody else in the same picture looks normal. Daytime/Nightime - DirectFlash/InDirectFlash - it doesn't matter. I'm either the devil or something is up with my eyes.

I'm going to start wearing sunglasses at night. :helpme

Don't stare at the camera.

Get a flash that doesn't have the same power outout as the sun, or stand further away?

I'm looking at bachelor party pictures from this weekend. I'm drunk out of my mind and looking completely away from the camera in most shots... Still red eye.

Maybe its the alcohol? :)

Shouldn't have sold your soul to satan. Sure.... ya got the chicks, and the cash, but the red eyes and eternal damnation is the side effects ya gotta live with.

Look at the hair of the person taking your pic... or somewhere a bit off-direct.

From a cheap disposable camera to some of the most expensive Canon digital SLR's - it still happens.

You just have reflective eyes, they allow more light to pass and reflect it back at the camera.

In that case, I'm gonna say 'Cataracts', because it'll cause paranoia, even if you do see OK. :thumbsup

It happens to me too. I'll be the only person in any pic with red eye. Always.

just wear dark eye glasses.. lol!! :)

It happens to me a lot. I always thought it was because my eyes are blue, but that probably doesn't make any sense.

It happens to me 99.9% of the time and no one else in the picture. You're not alone!!!
