Obama just gave the election to McCain

He going to be the dem nominee and he just gave Michigan to McCain so therfore there is ZERO chance of the dems winning the white house.

"DETROIT (Reuters) - Michigan Democratic Party leaders on Tuesday said a proposal to re-run the state's contested presidential primary in June, which could potentially benefit the campaign of Sen. Hillary Clinton, was stalled and unlikely to be approved before a deadline this week.

Opposition from lawmakers backing Illinois Sen. Barack Obama's campaign seemed certain to scuttle any proposal to hold a June 3 "do-over" Democratic primary in the Midwestern state."

Do you think Dems in Michigan are going to vote for Obama after he basically just said "fuck you" to them?

tony286 03-18-2008 07:09 PM

They should take it out on the officials that decided not to follow DNC rules. It wasnt like out of the blue FL and Michigan dont count they knew this before they did their primaries if they moved them up they wouldnt count.

Do you actually think that's who they will take it out on? No. they will see Obama as deny their right to re-vote and that's who they will take it out on.

Personally I think dems are fucking retarded to punish Florida since it was the REPUBLICAN led legislature and the REPUBLICAN governor that moved up the primary. The dems in Florida couldn't stop the move the primary date if they wanted too. That's kind of blamming the rape victim for the rape.

Um, noone ever said Obama was going to win in the first place. Mccain has had this thing in the bag since the begining.

Barack Hussein Obama never cared about Michigan to begin with, he didnt even pay the $4200 state application fee to add his name to the ticket.

NewbieNudes 03-18-2008 08:44 PM

If McCain wins the USA is more fucked that it is now financially. McCain is pro Iraq. Iraq is the reason the US economy is fucked.

Don't vote McCain

Well let's assume Obama could win the states Kerry won. That's 252 electoral votes. Now Kerry lost NM and Iowa, 2 states Gore won. Putting Richardson on the ticket assures NM. So that would be 264. Obama could win Nevada especially with Richardson so that would be 269. So it's 269-269. In a tie the election goes to the House to decide who wins. The House is run by democrats so who wins? Obama.

stevo 03-18-2008 09:32 PM

Clinton had a huge lead in Michigan and Florida. A redo in these two states would seriously damage Obama's chanes of winning the Democratic nomination. In the long run it might hurt a small percentage of votes, but in the short term it is locking in his Democratic nomination.

Fuck there are no "do overs" in fucking politics.
This also would not cause a democrat to vote republican in the primary, nor would it work that way in reverse. I really can not see this happening at all and if it does, gawd damn has the nation truely gone to shit.

Well, a lot of person's don't seem to see that...
McCain is knee deep in Bush's policies and he will continue the former work which is wrong.

I saw today Bush at CNN saying "Economy will be just fine :)"

You think Iraq is bad for the economy? Wait until any one of these three retards get in and start dismantling the economy in the name of the global warming hoax.

All three of them believe that man is causing catastrophic global warming and that they can stop it by implementing carbon taxes and carbon trading scams.

That will really do the economy in for good.

tony286 03-18-2008 09:55 PM

Also you forget McCain has been getting a free pass, the gunsights havent been focused on him.

Hey dipshit when global warming floods the coastal cities makes hurricanes and tornados worse makes droughts worse. How is that for the economy? God you are a fucking retard. I bet you believe the earth is only 6000 years old and flat.

That shit is going to happen no matter what condition our economy is in and it has nothing to do with "men." It is what happens.

Oh, and when it does happen, cuz it will, we will all be long gone and our kids will be long gone. Probably their children's children as well.

Shh you are walking into the open argument.

1. Its not global warming, its is global climate change. Not everywhere will get hotter, nor will all areas will get colder.
2. It is not purely man made, a portion that is undetermined is caused naturally by the earths proximity to the sun as well as the activity of the sun and its current lack of sun spots. However man has also caused a share as well that should be corrected for all of our benefit and honestly what is the harm in reducing our own effects on the environment.
3. Lastly do not state that hurricanes, tornadoes, and droughts will get worse. It is too open ended and people read into that as like they do with number 1 when you say global warming. People assume when you say worse it also means more frequent which is a fallacy. It is the general strength of like hurricanes goes up yet the frequency goes down as they suck the heat out of the water when they do travel across it. Though it will be a mean mother that is a hell of a lot stronger when it does it. Droughts on the other hand are more troublesome. Keep in mind that corn production is evil specially in our "bread basket" and that is really fucking with the water table. Guess I am saying it is more than a simple issue.

Ok carry on.

This is some first class bullshit your talking, no one singed any agreement for anything. Clinton paid her $4200 state application fee even after the DNC stripped them of all their delegates. Obama didnt even request an application according to state officials, at least the other Dems requested them.

To tell you the truth, as I was typing it images from several science fiction books flashed in my head. Domed cities and all.

People think sci-fi is all fi. Lots of it is based on stuff that is a lot more probable than Ron Paul, Huckabee, Obama or Clinton winning in 2008.

Why would I bullshit you? Hilary didnt keep her promise and Obama did.
http://www.wsbt.com/news/michigan/16314386.html
The Democratic National Committee stripped both states of all delegates for holding the primaries too early, and all Democratic candidates ? including Clinton and rival Barack Obama ? agreed not to campaign in either state. Obama's name wasn't even on the Michigan ballot.
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5i...bxhvgD8VC5Q185
Obama removed his name as part of an agreement not to campaign in the state because it violated party rules. Clinton also signed the agreement but did not remove her name from the ballot.

You need to get your facts straight, they agreed to not campaign not be on the ballot. She didn't break her promise either. She campaigned in neither state. She left her name on the ballot in MI, and both her and Obama left their names on the ballot in FL, as was allowed by the DNC. Clinton did "stopovers" in both states but help no campaign rallys or events.

Wrong, you said they all singed an agreement to not be on that ballot. My response of "no one singed any agreement for anything" was in direct connection to your misleading and false comment about a ballot agreement.

So he couldn't pop his name on the ballot? He must have known he was going to lose it anyway and it could come in handy to not play.

My guess is that Obama will defeat Clinton, and McCain will defeat Obama.

If Clinton were to defeat Obama, I'm fairly sure she'd have a good chance of beating McCain. But alas, it's probably too late for that now.

Actually, even including FL and MI, he's ahead. Only a truly enormous win in Pennsylvania could put Clinton ahead in the popular vote, and only a big win in Pennsylvania combined with the Florida delegates being seated could put her ahead in delegates.

A bit of a shame, really.

Obama can't be trusted - at least with McCain, or even Clinton for that matter, one knows exactly what they are getting.

Obama is going to play the race card every chance he gets - and he already has! ...

During the Don Imus scandal Obama, on his own accord, Obama aligned himself with likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton...

http://oblogga.blogspot.com/2007/04/obama-imus.html

For folks who believed Obama was different ... NOT!

Obama is more akin to Jesse Jackson when he ran for President back in 1984. About the only thing different about Obama is the packaging; underneath it's more of the same as the Rev Wright scandal illustrates.

Nonetheless, he's still a better choice than McCain and for that matter so is Hillary.

I mean think about where this country was 8 years ago and then think about where it is now. Nuff said?
