Do Not Ever Use Google Ad Words, Never!!!!
 

Wow google has become worse than all the major corporations they did not want to become like. Wow just wow. Well I assume they were not making enough from google ad words so they secretly added an option to automatically enroll you in their content network which is crap traffic coming from other sites I guess, nobody probably wanted to use it either so they were forced to sneak it upon everybody in order to get them to use it.

90% of my traffic came from this content network that I was automatically enrolled in. I just wanted to advertise on the side of search results like I have done in the past several times but no I was somehow included in this. Google says it was my fault but damn I was never aware of a drastic change like this. Something tells me google does not want this to be easy to understand or else they plan to steal money would not work. Im so pissed right now.

Yeah, Google sucks. Never ever use adwords. Great advice. Stay away from them!

Once google is done ripping everyone off they are going to ahve no business left. I now realize google probably makes more then 60% of their money from people not knowing what they are doing. Im pretty smart but this totally snuck up on me.

always have to go in and turn off the content network. I do that right away when I start up a new campaign.

Since when is it turned on though without my consent?

It's not a secretly added option. It´s right there when you´re creating your campaign and you can uncheck it if you want.

It has been added to all mine when I first setup the campaign.

You need basic interweb skills to use adwords.

Google doesnt suck... adwords might but google is one of the top companies out there

I think the lesson here is that no matter how easy and obvious you
think your web pages are to use, people will miss things. I first
signed up for Google Adwords not long ago and I sure saw the
option for the content network. Yet wtfent missed it and I'm sure other
people have missed it.

I wasn't super happy with the results I got from Adwords, but I'm very
impressed with the company overall - I use 1800-goog411 a couple times
per day, Google maps, and of course the search engine a dozen times a day.
