I seem to recall something similar happening in South East Asia last year sometime, the shop owners were putting amphetamines in the water to make people play longer, some guy ended up dyng.

leisure suit and king's quest were cool.. but I don't know.. the nostalgia runs deep with bard's tale... I think it was probably the first game I got hooked on in a big way that was a little world unto itself.. and the tie in with ultima - "skara brae" (ultima IV is my other all time favorite) after playing alley cat, thexter, moonpatrol and all that the old role playing games just seemed to kick it.

hahahh! yeah, I had it on my ole Commie 64. First game I learned how to crack with a hex editor! :)

I have a friend who played Ragnarok for almost a week straight once with minimal breaks (bathroom, eating, a bit of sleep).
