UK PEOPLE! Watching Sports Relief On BBC 1??

I donated some money earlier today to the Chris Moyles Show as I listen to it everyday and what the guys from it done must have been real hard.

Watching these short clips of celebrities going out to these poor countries is awful tho. It makes you want to give more and more... its really really sad.

Anyone watching?

no, its utter junk.

i would pay not to watch this tripe. hang on i do, its a tv license.

anyway i do not feel like watching a bunch of so calloed celebs who are just using this to boost there careas.

do not forget that all those who did live aidf years ago all had vast inrease in record sales.

I watched a couple bits of it. I really am not a Chris Moyles fan at all.

I don't get why people care if somebody gets a boost in record sales if awareness is also being risen. You couldn't pay me to go watch a child be hit by a train like Kelly Holmes did tonight when she was filming in South Africa. It is a darn site more than sitting on a message board complaining that somebody is doing something.

Typical brit always looking for the bad side in things. It doesnt matter the reason the celebs are doing it without them doing it they wouldnt be raising millions for those who need it.

I choose to donate to charities that *I* believe in and have read up on and know about. In instances such as with the BBC and their "charity evenings", I would greatly prefer to donate to not have it fuck with the schedule.

If someone can't watch this tonight and be touched by it then I guess you lead a pretty hard life. Regardless if you like these "so called celebs" or not, its not about them its about the kids out there in those poor countries.

I'm glad I donated, I also asked my girlfriend to donate and her parents donated money as well. Pretty sure a lot more people I know did.

Does it take christimas for you to give a gift? does it take a tv appeal for you to give a donation?

I do these things all year without the need for tv to remind me :)

Forget appeals, forget having to be told its someones birthday, live a life that consists of giving without prompts.

We have this junk pushed down our throats almost each month now.

For those who are not from the UK, the bbc is somthing that your are forced to buy a licence for, even if you do not watch the stations.

Its a right load of old b*llocks.

Realy.

Or mabe those who watch it are rather thick and presume that the few million raised will make a big difference. It will not. Most of the cash will be sived off to people.

If you want the people to be looked after you need the goverments to do somthing. They can write a check for a billion without any dint. Lets face it in the last few years the UK goverment has wasted a few billion on an NHS computer system that does not work. They wasted a few million on an NHS questionair that only a few people replied to.
