This could definitely be a remote job, the pay is shitty though.

Don't you know nearly everyone in this biz wants to work remotely? You can work 8 jobs then! (kidding)

At $12/hour can you blame them?

If they take 5 "full time" jobs and give each one 10 hours/week and at the same time use the money to build their own, often competing, projects or businesses, then well, yes. You wouldn't?

This is a job that requires being here... not remote. $12-17 starting plus benefits depending on experience.

$12/hr in CA? I can't believe you think anyone will give a shit about this. I thought netbilling made a few cents here and there

any title with 'Programmer' (Technical Support Specialist (Jr. Programmer)) and is in California should pay more than $12-17 per hour.

This is really a support assistant position, not a programming position. Our programmers are like rocket scientists. We are looking for support and programming is a plus.
