Dear Valued Client,

In order to more effectively streamline our virtual hosting support
systems, and allow us to provide you with improved response times and
faster
resolution of issues, we will be changing the support structure for our

virtual clients.

Effective April 1, 2008 all Webair Virtual plans will include Ticketed
Support only

You can open a support ticket for ANY support related issues you may
have. All tickets are responded to in a timely manner and you can
easily
escalate any ticket if necessary.

TO OPEN A SUPPORT TICKET: The preferred method for opening a support
ticket is via the Webair control panel, by clicking the support center
link or support button at top of page. This will automatically generate

a support ticket number for you and enables Webair to track and monitor

the issue. If you do not have access to your control panel you can
also
send an email to [email protected] describing your support issue.

If you wish to continue access to Webair Support via phone and live
chat, as well as ticketed support, you can upgrade your plan to the
Webair Three plan or higher. Additionally, existing virtual clients
will
receive discounted rates on any dedicated hosting plan. Please
contact [email protected] for assistance or call TOLL FREE 1.866.WEBAIR1

As always, if you have any questions or comments please feel free to
contact us at your convenience.

I always see this question.

Why go dedicated everywhere?
Perhaps I have a crap load of blogs and want to spread them around a great deal since they are all about same subject.
Maybe I have a fairly small site that does not require much resources and a virtual is the most cost effective way to grow my business or just deal with that site?
What if I just want to park some domains and need one page landers?
What if I am new to the biz, and only need the sheer basics?

Could go on and on.

I despise Webair for some things they have allowed and done in the past but you should really just shut your softlayer re-selling ass up.

I do not see a live support button on your 15 dollar template site so I guess we can only conclude that you do not care about "your" customers.

There are many other places offering virtual accounts.

CunningStunt 03-12-2008 04:19 PM

Anyone else noticing they have got real slow lately? Some of my sites timeout recently. Might have to move the lot.

cykoe6 03-12-2008 04:31 PM

Yea I am not too happy about this. Live support is the main reason I was with Webair. I have dedicated accounts but I need plenty of virtual accounts as well to spread some stuff around.

TyroneGoldberg 03-12-2008 06:30 PM

Look at it from their side. You have joe with a 10 bucks a month account who wish to talk to a tech every other day for some dumb ass reason. As long as their support tickets gets answered within an hour you should be good, but LIVE SUPPORT on a 10 dollar acount, be real

FilthyRob 03-13-2008 01:11 PM

ouch, time to get dedicated boxes people

That is a rather drastic measure don't you think? Upgrade to a more expensive plan in order to get the support you expected when you first signed up?

Why do you think from their point of view? Now when I have a problem I have to wait 1 day or more when usually a small issue would be resolved in 5 minutes. And by the way the 10$ account don't have live support for a long time...Well I guess they are plenty hosts to choose from.

jonpotz 03-13-2008 02:23 PM

Honestly, I just recently signed up for webair with a virtual plan.

I got this email today and it was disappointing.

I did actually run into a few problems, but I just emailed my rep and he took care of the problems for me real quick. I've called my rep as well with a virtual plan and spoke to him with no problem.

My only grievance so far is they have processing form problems. When you try to register another domain under your control panel, it seems to either not process the card or sends you to redirect hell. I msged my rep and he took care of it manually for me.

Yes I call up the owner personally and yes he does answer the phone if there's something major. Tickets are very quick, but the phone support is there.

Jet - BANNED FOR LIFE 03-13-2008 08:07 PM

once again, webair throws its clients under the bus

18teens 03-13-2008 10:39 PM

The killing part is Webair doesn't answer support tickets. If you have downtime and put in a support ticket you might get a response a day or 2 later if you're lucky.

Believe me, I know. I had downtime every single fucking day for over 2 weeks. The ticket was escalated and updated by me each time I had downtime. The cocksuckers at Webair did not respond to my ticket to provide any type of support.

The only hope I had was their live support, which I used daily to get my sites back up. Now, that's gone for virtual customers so they're fucked in the ass if they host at Webair.

Luckily I moved my sites before the downtime totally destroyed them.
