Ripping DVDs and Watermarking AT THE SAME TIME?
Is there a program that will rip scenes from an actual DVD to wmv format, and add a watermark / URL at the same time?
I know its possible to rip from DVD to wmv, and then run the wmv through a simply program like windows movie maker, to add the watermark etc, but that takes twice as long... Is there a program, that will just do both in one go? Don't mind paying for a program to do this... Don't expect or need it to be a freebie... Just a quick ripper that will rip individual scenes to wmv and add watermark in one go??? And before anyone asks. This is 100% legitimate. The rights to use the DVD scenes on the net have been obtained and payed for, so there is NOTHING illegal going on at all :) Thanks in advance :) |
I think this one does. Have a look. http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/

opps wrong one.. sorry..
|
Thanks, but that's the opposite way around... That converts a file... 'X' TO DVD... I wanna put an actual DVD disc into my PC DVD drive, choose a scene on the DVD and have it convert THAT scene to .wmv format and add a watermark... ALL IN ONE GO ???
Any other suggestions? |

Can be done in one step in shell, that's all I know.

Just saying two step operations like that are normally done in a unix shell, where you can just run a command and pass the results to the next program for processing. Plus who wants to sit there and watch DVD's rip on a windows box? :) |
yeah doesn't videocharge do that real easily?
we use it daily |
Don't now if this is something you would consider, but www.ThePaysiteCMS.com has an automated encoding and watermarking solution.
works great for DVD download sites. |
I don't think that there is any application that can rip a DVD to a hard drive and add a watermark at the same time. You are probably better off ripping all the DVDs to a single folder and then using a batch process like in a video encoding app like Cleaner XL to watermark all the videos. It will actually be faster and more efficient than letting each DVD rip and get watermarked then and only then swapping the physical DVD to rip and watermark the next one.
