things to do in LA near LAX?
 

my first time going to LA, spending 2 days at the sheraton near the airport for some meetings, wanted to know if you guys can suggest some things to do that are nearby?

santa monica is near. Lots of things to do there.

There's that one place that has the "Nude Girls" sign that lights up in neon.

Actually, if you don't mind a 15-20 minute one-way trip, Father's Office in Santa Monica's a great place to stop for a beer (one of the best selections in L.A.), and their burger is unique. A Black Hat chef took over the place a number of years ago, and changed the menu up.

If you go, get the burger.

Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach

3rd street Promenade is fun.

If you like homeless people.

If you like poker go to Hollywood park, the beach go to Venice Beach/Marina. Shopping - 3rd Street Promenade / Century City.

Not much by the airport...but everything in LA is 20-60 minutes drive.....

Just don't go east of the airport. Lennox, Ingalwood and Compton are ghetto. If you hear about a Casino it's only card games.

Homeless guy's brain. Trying to do something to control the population.

I heard there is a great bus ride that works in and around LAX.

There's tons of things to do in L.A. Go out to the beaches (Redondo, Manhattan, Hermosa), Santa Monica, Hollyweird is always fun if you've never been there. Lot's of live music around there. Go to laweekly.com for entertainment. Have fun! It's a nice place to visit, I just wouldn't want to live there.

venice bch...might be a $30 cab ride but a must see imo...

Damn straight. Father's Office rocks. But, so does In n Out. Not such a good range of beer there though :D

I was going to remember to check out Father's, but if it compares to In n Out I won't bother.
