all over soccer, it doesn't make sense. It's one of the least entertaining sports, extremely slow paced, and yet people go crazy over it. Watching grass grow is more exciting.

Its not a sport. Its a religion. Its opium to the masses with its unrivaled highs and viscarel gutting lows. It both unites and divides, inspires and destroys. It provokes conflict between families, neighbours and even countries.

If you don't understand that Football transcends 'sport' then you should cease watching it and abandon all hope of ever understanding its appeal because you never will.

Amen

Well said, football is not a sport where you turn up eat some hotdogs and do the odd mexican wave like american football and baseball. The dedication to the sport from fans is 100x more than any other sport which is why shit like this will always happen.

I never go to soccer games, because I always end up getting drunk and in a fight

We had a game here last night. People all over the city that did not even go were dressed in their team colors. The Local team lost the game, and it was their first game here in their new home city. We got lucky, and no problems.

I think that's the most brilliant two paragraph exposition of the joys of soccer I've ever read. Thank you.

And I'm a life-long Chelsea fan.
